Off the turf yesterday ruined the card, back on today. Let’s Ride.
Race 5: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Alw 85000n3x
#4 Spanish Kingdom (15/1) – This morning line seems ridiculous, but he will still be a price. Stepping up in class 2nd off the layoff, this gelding is a hard knocker. The Conductor liked the way he finished last time and he could be a different animal as a 4 year old.
#12 Bye Bye Melvin (8/1) – The Motion runners haven’t been firing at Keeneland so far, which is concerning, but this boy will be a fair price and fits with this group. He loves cut in the ground and with all the rain yesterday he’ll have no issue getting over the surface while others may struggle.
Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.Mdn 79k
*Gullet Shot of the Day #10 Ballymore Star (6/1) – Her comeback race last time was very solid and she looks primed to build off that effort. The Ductor sees the added distance today being her friend as well.
