Belmont Park: Key Horses for Friday, May 28

Necker Island getting scratched took the steam out of the Ductor’s sails yesterday. However, Prime Time player winning impressively at 2/1 made it profitable. Looks like we’re staying on the turf at Belmont today. Let’s head into Memorial Day Weekend with a full caboose. Let’s Ride.
Race 5: 7 Furlongs. (Turf) S.Alw 80000n1x
*Gullet Shot of the Day #7 Quiet Out East (8/1) – 2nd off the layoff today, this gelding ran decent while going much too far last time. He’s his best going one turn over this Belmont turf course and that’s exactly what’s on the menu today. He should sit a nice trip with a quick pace to close into as well.
Race 8: 1 Mile. (Turf) F.OC 80000n1x
#3 Caldee (6/1) – She cost the Conductor last time, but the Conductor will take another shot with her today. She adds Lasix today for the 1st time, suggesting she may have bled, and she will have her own way on the front end. She shortens 1/16 of a mile as well.
