Santa Anita Park: Memorial Day Key Horses
1 min read
Momentum finally stopped Sunday, the Conductor has played so many races this weekend his eyes are bleeding. He’s taking the train out west today for the solid card at Santa Anita. Have a great Memorial Day passengers, and special thanks to all those brave men and women who have lost their lives protecting our freedom. We get to drink stew and fire away because of them, and there is nothing better than that. Skip!
Race 6: 6½ Furlongs. OC 62500n2x
#2 Ground Attack (10/1) – The Conductor’s favorite price play of the day, this gelding ran well last time off a two year layoff. He pressed a hot pace with an early move and rightfully flattened in the stretch. Shortening a 1/2 furlong today, the Conductor has question marks about the favorites in here and he looks to get a favorable trip up close to a moderate pace. His A race gives him every chance here.
Race 8: 1 1/4 Mile. G1 Hollywood Gold Cup Stakes
#2 Country Grammer (5/2) – The Conductor liked this colt’s fight last time. Making his 2nd start as a 4-year-old today, he’ll be might tough in here.
