Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, Give a man a pony and he'll eat for a lifetime

Santa Anita Park: Key Horses for Saturday, October 2

Great card out west today. If it was easy to drive the train across the country everyone would do it. Skip.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. G2 Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes

#2 Vertical Threat (6/1) – This colt can scoot and he will get an uncontested lead in here. There are some serious closers, but he has a chance to steal it on the front end.

Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.G1 Rodeo Drive Stakes

#7 Magic Attitude (5/1) – This filly gets back to firm turf today, where she does her best running. Her best is better than anything this group has to offer.

Race 10: 1 1/8 Mile. G1 Awesome Again Stakes

#7 Tripoli (3/1) – This colt has become a beast since switching to dirt. He looks to get the same trip he got in his Pacific Classic win too.

Race 11: 1 1/4 Mile. (Turf) G2 John Henry Turf Championship Stakes

#7 Master Piece (5/1) – The Ductor thinks he’s a cut above this west coast group. He regained his form last time and would have easily one with a cleaner trip. The Ductor thinks the other McCarthy runner #12 Friar’s Road (15/1) is live at a big price as well.
