2022 Pony a Day Challenge: January 17th, Santa Anita Park Race 1

Record: 1/13, $4.13 ROI
Shofar floated up to 18/1 Sunday and the Ductor was very excited. He got the trip he needed but wasn’t nearly good enough. The Ductor needs to get back in the winner’s circle pronto to keep the pressure on the pony gods. We get racing at Santa Anita today to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so the Ductor will head west. One of the great things about this game is it doesn’t what race, color creed, religion or nationality you are, everyone’s money counts the same. Everyone’s money goes into the same pot, and the Ductor gets to snatch it from you….except for the greedy takeout. Let’s make them pay today, skip.
Race 1: 6½ Furlongs. (Hillside Turf) Alw 69000n1x
#2 Elusive Treat (8/1) – This gelding ran a very good 2nd in is US debut three starts back and has had poor trips in his two. He was hung wide all the way around the track last time and never quit. The added distance will be his friend today and he should be able to work out a nice trip. Without Prat or Rispoli aboard we should get a fair price
