2022 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint Preview

The Breeders’ Cup is finally upon us. The strongest fields, biggest pools and bountiful opportunities. The Ductor can’t sleep, he can never watch enough tape. Scratch, claw, cap, claw, cap, conduct. Skip.

#3 Private Creed (12/1) – This colt won easily from the 10 post over this quirky turf course and is the best closer in the field. In a race loaded with speed, he draws well to the inside and should sit a perfect trip. The Ductor favors the Americans in this sprint.

#9 Sharp Aza Tack (15/1) – If you like Private Creed like the Ductor, you must like this colt as well. He ran huge in his Monmouth race two back and was beaten by less than a length going longer last time. In that race Irad was asleep at the wheel. He didn’t move a muscle while this colt showed his natural speed and didn’t start working him until Private Creed had gone past with momentum. Sharp Aza Tack showed some gameness in that effort and the shorter distance should help his cause.

#2 Love Reigns (4/1) – Irad and Wesley Ward have teamed up to win this race the last three years. This filly has a major chance to make it four in a row. There isn’t much to knock, but she’ll probably be favored and isn’t a standout in the Ductor’s opinion.
