Sabbath Sunday: The Conductor’s Prayers at Santa Anita Park

Chalky day at Santa Anita yesterday.  The Conductor’s lock hit obviously. Scratches and off the turf today, but the Conductor has good feel for the slop.  His mother was a mudder. Let’s Ride.

Race 1: 1 Mile. (OFF Turf) F.Mdn 55k

#4 She Be Striking (7/2) – She’s shown talent on turf and this will be her first try on an off track.  She’s run good early figures and adds blinkers today. Speed held yesterday.

Race 2: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 25000

#6 Freedom Hill (8/1) – The Emarald Park invader is in good form and his numbers fit for this level.  The slop won’t affect him.

Race 3: 5 ½ Furlongs. MC 30000

#6 Calm Down Lady (8/5) – Chalk

Race 4: 1 1/16 Mile. F.OC 80000n1x

Race 5: 1 Mile. F.Mdn 55k

#6 Cherished (10/1) – Going two sprints to a route, her even running style suggests she’ll be better going longer.  She has decent mud pedigree.

#14 Claudelle (4/1) – She’s run some great early pace figures.  She’ll got gate to wire.

Race 7: 5½ Furlongs. Alw 57000n1x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #1 Best Two Minutes (10/1) – This old man is posting great works and has the numbers to beat this field.  He’s primed to run his best 2nd off the layoff.
