2-2 yesterday in the NFL for the Conductor, but his lone car payment play was the easiest winner on the card. The Patriots throttled the Steelers with the greatest of ease and the Conductor slept like a baby last night.
Two Monday night matchups tonight is a nice treat and the Conductor likes one a lot. Nothing like getting up on your bookmaker with a full week ahead, that’s when you really get to attack.
Houston +7 @ New Orleans
This line has gone down to 6.5 this week, which is intriguing because the public is obviously backing a very good Saints team at home. The Conductor likes Houston’s addition of Duke Johnson and sees Deshaun Watson and the offense putting up points in this one. Houston has a solid defense as well, so the Conductor is leaning towards taking the points in a competitive game. The Conductor must have at least few chips in the pot and he loves being on the opposite side of the herd of public sheep he likes to call passengers.
Lunch Money Play: Houston +7
Denver -3 @ Oakland
This line has swung 6 points after the Antonio Brown saga and departure from the Raiders. Oakland has had plenty of distractions this off-season and the public is sprinting to bet Denver with 70% of the tickets on the Broncos. Let the passengers tire themselves out, the Conductor will wait and pounce when their legs are weary. These Broncos are no thoroughbreds. The Conductor loves Oakland in this one. David Carr in his 2nd season under Gruden will be much improved and is miles better than Joe Flacco who has been dead for the last decade. The Raiders will be better on defense this year and the black hole will be rocking at night. Denver is going to struggle to score and the Conductor sees the Raiders winning outright.
