Thoroughbred racehorse galloping on the track at Gulfstream Park with jockey in yellow attire and cheering crowd in the background.

0/2 at Gulfstream at Friday. The Conductor isn’t going to survive the winter at this rate. However, it only takes one good day, one good race, one good head bob to turn everything around. Grab a shovel and get to work passengers. We have coal to mine. Skip.

Race 1: 7½ Furlongs. (Turf) MC 25000

#12 Oscarworthy (8/1) – This gelding dropped in class off the bench last time and ran better than it looks with a wide trip around both turns. He draws an outside post again today, but the cutback in distance will work to his advantage. There is speed drawn to his inside and Johnny V should be able to work out a decent trip. The Conductor thinks he’s the most likely winner in the race and he’ll be a square price.

Race 5: 1 Mile. (Turf) Sunshine Filly and Mare Turf Stakes

#3 Princess Bettina (6/1) – The Conductor is turning to the same connections in race 5. Princess Bettina returned off the bench last time for her first start in the Brian Lynch barn. She had absolutely no chance that day, as she was in the parking lot around both turns. Now 2nd off a layoff and drawing a nice inside post, she looks to get a favorable trip and should fire her best shot. She has multiple past performances that would put her in the winners’ circle here.

Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) OC 75000n1x

#9 Scarecrow (8/1) – The Conductor is going to play against the heavy favorite in here, #6 Dream On (6/5), who has distance question marks. Scarecrow will undoubtedly appreciate the added distance today. He’s run big late pace figures behind slow paces in all 3 starts of his career. Last time he made a very wide move from last against the merry go round flow. He’ll have pace to run at today and the Conductor thinks he can pull off the upset.
