Horses and jockeys racing from the starting gate at Saratoga Turf Course during a horse race.

Not perfect, but hopefully you passengers were able to make a few bucks yesterday with the gullet shot running 2nd at 13/1. Big Saturday card with many opportunities at Saratoga. Skip.

Saratoga Race 2: 1 Mile. (Inner Turf) F.Mdn 100k

*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Pathetique (15/1) – This filly was completely left at the gate in her debut and ran well after that. She stretches out to a route for the 1st time and is working well entering today. The Conductor sees her taking a giant step forward today.

Saratoga

Saratoga Race 4: 5½ Furlongs. (Turf) Clm 40000n2L

#3 Count Down (4/1) – He broke his maiden impressively last time turning back to a sprint. His early pace figures give him a major edge over this field. He’ll be tough to catch on the front end.

Race 6: 6 Furlongs. Mdn 100k

#8 Volcanic (6/1) – He was well bet in his debut and showed a nice late kick closing into a slow pace. He galloped out in front and is working well entering today. He should appreciate the added furlong.

Race 8: 1 Mile. (Inner Turf) F.Mdn 100k

#4 Good Talk (20/1) – Her debut looks like a perfect prep for this spot, running evenly without much urging. Stretching out today for the first time, she’s working well and Saez takes the mount for a barn he rarely rides for. Skip.
