Belmont Park: Key Horses for Thursday, June 24

Horses and jockeys racing at Belmont Park, showcasing the excitement of a horse race with colorful silks and starting gates.

Toga is rapidly approaching, but we cannot let Belmont Park off easy. Let’s Ride.

Belmont Park Race 1: 6 Furlongs. (Inner Turf) F.Clm 40000n2L

#3 Chloe Rose (6/1) – She made an early move into a quick pace going a mile last time and now cuts back to a sprint. If she can translate her races to turf, she can beat this field. Her breeding suggests she’ll be able to handle the lawn just fine.

#5 Jades Gelly (9/2) – She was favored dropping to this level last time and she had no chance as Rosario wrangled her way back and a slow pace developed. She’ll be more forwardly placed today and we’ll get a much better price.

Race 2: 6 Furlongs. 6 Furlongs. F.Mdn 90k

#4 Beautiful Farewell (9/2) – This filly finished 3rd vs the boys in her debut last year and is working well off the layoff. She has talent and if she progresses as a 3-year-old she’ll be tough to beat.

Race 9: 7 Furlongs. (Turf) F.S.MC 40000

*Gullet Shot of the Day #9 Mazal Eighteen (8/1) – This girl is the clear one to beat off her last turf race in the Ductor’s opinion. She pressed a hot pace going wide and fought hard to the end. She adds blinkers today and is a huge overlay anywhere near this morning line. The connections should keep her price decent.

Belmont Park: Key Horses for Sunday, June 14

A horse with a jockey in red and white polka dots racing ahead at the Belmont Derby 2019.

Saturday was a rough one at Belmont Park for the Ductor. The trains been on a bit of a roll and the Pony Gods sent him a reminder that this game isn’t easy. Nothing sleeping with the forms and a bottle of stew can’t fix. Let’s Ride.

Belmont Park

Race 4: 6 Furlongs. Clm 16000n2L

#3 Yankee Empire (15/1) – Dropping in class with a bullet work entering today, he’ll get the early lead against this group. He has prior efforts that can beat this field.

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. (Inner Turf) Clm 30000n2L

#5 Knockout Punch (9/2) – He ran well closing into a slow pace last time off a short break. That race has come back a live and he’s facing a very weak field today.

Race 6: 6 Furlongs. (Turf) S.OC 45000n2x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #6 Quiet Out East (20/1) – In his first try sprinting on the turf last time at Belmont, he won easy at 13/1 (and the Ductor whacked him that day). The Ductor can’t knock that effort and he looks to get another favorable trip here with a hot pace to run at. He gets a rider downgrade, but anything near this morning line is asinine. A repeat effort puts him right there.

Belmont Park: Key Horses for Saturday, June 12

Exciting horse race start at Belmont Park with multiple jockeys and horses bursting from the starting gates.

No bueno yesterday swinging for the fences. Not the best Saturday card at Belmont, but many good betting races. Big day today, Let’s Ride.

Race 5: 1 Mile. S.OC 45000n2x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #6 Durkin’s Call (8/1) – Stretching back out to his best distance 2nd off the claim for Atras, he ran huge last time at Belmont with a brutal trip. He was wide the entire turn then stuck behind horses in the stretch. He galloped out best and has a major shot in here.

Belmont Park

Race 6: 1 1/16 Mile. (Inner Turf) F.Mdn 90k

#4 Bella Jenshea (10/1) – She ran well in her debut at Tampa and has had some time off since. Her work tab is eye catching  and she’ll be a major overlay with unknown connections. She’s also one of the few 4-year-olds in the field.

Race 9: 6 Furlongs. (Inner Turf) OC 80000n2x

#3 Goul (6/1) – This gelding was favored last time off a short break vs many of the same contenders in here. He had no chance having to check sharply while he was making his move mid stretch. With a cleaner trip today, he’ll have every chance and will be a better price.

Belmont Stakes Day Key Horses

Estilo Talentoso and Baron Samedi got the job done yesterday, but no juicy prices. The Conductor is tingling looking at this Belmont Stakes card. Its time for battle, Let’s Ride.

Race 3: 7 Furlongs. G1 Woody Stephens Stakes

#6 Caddo River (4/1) – Cutting back to a sprint after dueling going longer, this colt looks to get a perfect stalking trip from the outside. There looks to be a scorching pace for #3 Jackie’s Warrior (7/5) to deal with. #4 Dream Shake (5/2) would be the Ductor’s 2nd choice.

Race 5: 1 Mile. F.G1 Acorn Stakes

#3 Miss Brazil (5/1) – This filly was only beaten only 1/2 length by #6 Search Results (1/1), the deserving favorite, in March. She couldn’t have looked better last time and the Ductor thinks she’s improving and will be very tough to pass in the stretch at a nice number. #4 Dayoutoftheoffice (4/1) has a major chance 2nd off the layoff as well.

Race 7: 1 1/16 Mile. F.G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes

#7 Bonny South (10/1) – Its a small field after scratches, but she’ll likely be an overlay in the horizontals. She ran some monster races last year and is working her eyeballs out 2nd off the layoff. She can upset the heavy favorites #3 Letruska (9/5) and #5 Shedaresthedevil (5/2).

Race 8: 1 Mile. (Turf F.G1 Longines Just a Game Stakes

*Gullet Shot of the Day #9 Summer Romance (6/1) – The Conductor likes both the Appleby runners in here and prefers this filly after the scratch of Blowout. She’ll be on the lead and be very tough to run down.

Belmont Stakes

Race 9: 1 Mile. G1 Hill ‘N’ Dale Met Mile

#6 Knicks Go (6/5) – Gate to wire.

Race 10: 1 1/4 Mile. (Inner Turf) Manhattan-G1

#4 Domestic Spending (3/1) – He’s a monster and the clear one to beat in the Ductor’s opinion. However, there are some prices the he likes as well. #2 Bye Bye Melvin (30/1) was wide around both turns last time and has been wide in his last few starts. 3rd off the layoff today, he runs his best on softer ground and will get a ground saving trip today. #7 Channel Cat (12/1) was incredibly gutsy last time on the front end and although he’ll take early pressure today, the Conductor will be including him.

Race 11: 1½ Mile. G1 Belmont Stakes

#7 Rock Your World (9/2) – Any of the contenders would not surprise the Ductor in here, but he has to give this colt another try after getting wiped out in the Derby. With a clean break today, he looks to be the controlling speed and he doesn’t need the lead if he doesn’t want it. If you watch his gallop outs, the distance should be no issue and he could be the most talented of this bunch. The Ductor will be pressing Rock Your World in his bets, but can’t knock #2 Essential Quality (2/1), #3 Rombaur (3/1), #4 Hot Rod Charlie (7/2) and #6 Known Agenda (6/1).

Belmont Park: Key Horses for Friday, June 4

A group of racehorses competing on a grassy track at Belmont Park during a horse race.

The Ductor got a little over zealous with his bombs Thursday, but he’ll never apologize for going for the gullet. The weather makes Belmont Park’s card iffy, but the stakes should stay on the turf. Let’s Ride.

Belmont Park Race 7: 6½ Furlongs. G2 True North Stakes

*Gullet Shot of the Day #7 Phat Man (6/1)#1 Firenze Fire (2/1) would be the one to beat on a fast Belmont track, but he doesn’t like a likely muddy surface. The Conductor really likes this gelding off a tough trip last time stuck on the inside. His race two back beats this group and the Conductor likes the rider switch to Rosario. #5 Looking at Bikinis (7/2) will be the lone backup the Ductor uses.

Belmont Park

Race 8: 7 Furlongs. F.G3 Bed o’ Roses Stakes

#8 Estilo Talentoso (9/2) – This filly has run well behind Kimari and Gamine in her last two starts. There aren’t any monsters in this field and she draws well to the outside. The Conductor doesn’t see her being bet the way she should as well.

Race 9: 1 1/4 Mile. (Inner Turf) F.G2 New York Stakes

The Ductor doesn’t have a strong opinion in here, here are the Contenders he’ll be using:
#9 Thundering Nights (6/1), #5 harvey’s Lil Goil (3/1). #2 Virgina Joy (10/1), #1 Magic Attitude (6/1), #12 Always Shopping (8/1).

Belmont Park Race 10: 2 Miles. (Turf) G2 Belmont Gold Cup Stakes

#8 Baron Samedi (8/5) – He looks like a clear standout to the Ductor. If he doesn’t win, nothing would surprise him.
