Aqueduct: Cigar Mile Late Pick 5 Key Horses

Exciting horse race featuring jockeys in colorful silks competing on a dirt track, showcasing speed and athleticism.

1 for 3 with a 5/2 winner and a scratch at Aqueduct Friday. Finally, we some quality weekend racing featuring the Cigar Mile. Let’s Ride.

Aqueduct Race 6: 1 Mile. F.G3 Go for Wand H.

#2 Portal Creek (8/1) – She held on nicely stretching out last time and should be able to get the early lead in here. She may be best at this distance and will be a nice number.

Race 7: 6 Furlongs. (Likely OFF Turf) F.Alw 82000n1x

#12 Sweet Kisses (7/2) – The Conductor likes her steady progression and she’s working well exiting a strong effort on a sloppy track.

Race 8: 1 Mile. F.S.Alw 72000n1x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Ifihadachance (20/1) – Making her 2nd start in the Davivid Gonk barn today, she folded after being up close to a hot pace last time. She adds blinkers today, gets a weight break, and her figures at Finger Lakes fit with this group. She can light this thing up.

Race 9: 1 1/8 Mile. F.G2 Demoiselle Stakes

#7 Caramocha (15/1)#1 Malathaat (4/5) looks tough to beat, but if your looking for an alternative this girl is intriguing. Stretching out for the first time, she won easily in her debut at 99/1. The low % Mithell Friedman barn is 2/7 at this meet and she’ll be a big price again.

Race 10: 1 Mile. G1 Cigar Mile H.

#1 Performer (7/5) – Unfortunately, the slop takes the starch out of this field. This colt is a standout in here in the Conductor’s opinion.

Cigar Mile to the Hollywood Derby: Saturday Stakes Plays

A thoroughbred racehorse with jockey number 16 racing on a dirt track, showcasing speed and athleticism during a competition.

Only 3 short priced winners yesterday, another blah day for the Conductor.  It’s been a tough week, but there is no time to dwell on the past, the future is now.  We have an action-packed Saturday with stakes races across the county and the Conductor will play them all.  Strap in, the train is going to rack up some serious miles today. Let’s Ride.

Aqueduct’s Graded Stakes Keys to the Pick 6

Race 6: 1 Mile. F. G3 Go For Wand H.

*Gullet Shot of the Day #7 Come Dancing (10/1) – Pressing a hot pace going longer in a very tough Grade 1 race, she ran admirably last time.  She’ll appreciate the cutback in distance and is working well entering today.  Her best gives her every chance.

Race 8: 1 1/8 Mile. G2 Remsen Stakes

*Never a Doubt Lock of the Sequence #5 Network Effect (7/5) – This looks like a two-horse race on paper and the Conductor will lean toward the Chad Brown runner.  He’s faced much tougher in his first two starts than #6 Maximus Mischief (6/5) and he’s run against much faster paces.

Race 9: 1 Mile. Grade 1 Cigar Mile

*Atom Bomb Shot of the Day #3 Pat on the Back (15/1) – After stumbling at the start, he ran huge to win easy in a state bred stakes last race.  That race was the fastest in the field on the Conductor’s numbers.  He’ll be a little farther back today, but with speed drawn to his inside and out, he’ll have a formidable pace to run at.  This is a weak Grade 1 field, and many have chances.  The Conductor will go for a price and key him in the exotics.

Del Mar’s Keys to the Late Pick 4:

Race 6: 7 Furlongs. F.Alw 50000s

#8 Vallestina (5/1) – Drawn well to the outside, she has impressive early pace figures in a race without much speed signed on.  She is a consistent runner, switches back to the dirt today and has run her best over this Del Mar surface.

Race 7: 1 1/8 Mile. (Turf) G1 Hollywood Derby

*Double Barreled Shotgun Blasts #11 Carrick (8/1) – He didn’t run a step on soft turf last time, but the Conductor is throwing that race out.  He’s had some time off since, is a Grade 1 winner and has run well over multiple distances and surfaces in his young career.  He draws a tough post, nut the Conductor is trusting the Rajin Cajun to figure out a good trip.

#14 Californiagoldrush (12/1) – Another brutal post draw, but that’s the only knock against this horse.  He’s the class of the field and the horse the Conductor like most.  He has enough early speed to prevent being fanned too wide into the first turn.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. Mdn 53k

#7 American Camp (8/1) – This 325k colt is working like a rocket and his dam is 1/1 producing winners.  He’ll have good early speed and trainer Bob Hess Jr hits at a decent 10% clip with 1st time starters.

Race 9: 1 Mile. (Turf) F.S.OC 20000n1x

*Never a Doubt Lock of the Sequence #1 Marjorie (7/2) – She ran a decent 3rd off a layoff last start and should step forward off that effort.  She’s beaten much tougher open company in her young career and trainer Patrick Gallagher is 29% with a +$0.76 ROI with runners 2nd off the bench this year.
