Trachea Kick Tuesday: The Conductor’s Punts at Parx

A 3/1 and 5/2 winner in 10 races isn’t what the Conductor ordered yesterday. However, when his gullet shot gets bet down from 12/1 and 5/2 and wins, he at least knows his passengers are in their seats. The train will stay in Parx today because it’s the Conductor’s only option. Time to dig, Let’s Ride.

#7 Champagne Event (3/1) – He’s lightly raced compared to the rest of this group and ran a decent 4^th off a long layoff last start. He’ll step forward off of that effort and that will beat this group.

Race 2: 5 ½ Furlongs. Clm 5000n1x

#2 Jack O Liam (10/1) – This old man hasn’t won in a long time, but he ran a decent figure last start against much tougher competition, finishing 5^th. The drop in class will be a huge help and the Conductor will key him in the exacta at a nice number.

Race 3: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 10000

#7 Undeniable Temper (5/1) – This group has been running similar numbers, but this gelding has been facing tougher. The Conductor will be very angry if he loses.

Race 4: 7 Furlongs. F.Clm 75000n1x

*Never a Doubt Lunch Money Lock of the Day #3 Hide a Rose (2/1) – This mare is a hard knocker and just missed at this level last start. A repeat effort will likely beat this group.

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. MC 40000

#3 Vixsinsfantastkfox (4/1) – Dropping to the claiming ranks for the first time, his race two starts back beats this field.

Race 6: 5 ½ Furlongs. Clm 75000n3L

*Gullet Shot of the Day #9 Drive On (6/1) – This gelding looks to be rounding into form in his last two starts and has past performances that would win at this level.

Race 7: 7 Furlongs. F.Alw 41000n2x

#2 Pistol Andie (7/2) – She’s been the most consistent runner in the field as of late and the others will have to improve to beat her today.

Race 8: 6 F.. Clm 12500

#7 Ruble (20/1) – The morning line maker is disrespecting this grandpa, who is still consistently running competitive figures at this level. The Conductor will take a swing with this 9-year-old has another win in him at Parx.

Race 9: 7 Furlongs. OC 25000n2x

#4 Inky Dinky Do (15/1) – His win last start gives him every chance, the Conductor dares Parx to give him 15/1.

Race 10: 6 Furlongs. F.MC 10000

#1 Jerseymooseisloose (6/1) – She’s got early speed and is steadily improving. There’s not much else to like in this field.

Only one 7/2 winner and a couple of 2nds brought the train to a halt yesterday. A bad end to an otherwise solid week. Most conductors would leave the train in the station on this Monday to prepare for this week’s major tracks, but that’s not how the Conductor rolls. He’ll provide us with winners at Parx to make the start of our workweek a little more bearable. What a gentleman, Let’s Ride.

Race 1: 1 Mile. F.Clm 75000n3L

#4 Hannah Due (6/1) – She returned to form and the Parx winners circle last start. She looks to be cycling up and has past figures that can beat this group.

Race 2: 7 Furlongs. Clm 5000

#2 Rings of Jupiter (10/1) – He’s dropping in class, getting a weight break and has early speed. This gelding is also young and spry compared to the rest of these old men.

Race 3: 1 Mile. F.OC 50000n2x

#1 Gotta Be Strong (3/1) – She can beat the heavy favorite #6 Jennifer’s Dream (4/5) if she continues to progress. She’s moving in the right direction.

Race 4: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 75000n3L

#1/1A Entry (20/1) – Both of these four-year-olds are exiting poor performances, but have recent figures that make them competitive against this group. The Conductor will bet one of them wakes up at a big number.

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 75000n4L

#6 Lucky Stash (6/1) – She ran the fastest last race in this field by a good margin last start at Parx. At that price that’s all the Conductor needs to see.

Race 6: 1 Mile. Clm 8000n1x

#7 General Bellamy (6/1) – This old man returned to form last start and ran a much-improved race. The Conductor will bet he’ll follow that effort up with another big one.

Race 7: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 16000n1x

#4 Buzzkillington (5/2) – His last race was much faster than the rest of this group’s and he has a hilarious name.

Race 8: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 16000n1x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #10 King Koa (12/1) – He rebounded with a solid efort last start and the Conductor sees him building off that. He has the back class and recent speed figures to give him every chance.

Race 9: 7 Furlongs. F.Alw 46000n2x

*Never a Doubt Week Starter Lock of the Day #7 Norma’s Charm (2/1) – She looks to be too good for this field.

Race 10: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 5000 n1x

#11 Rio Vista (10/1) – She ran a good 2^nd at this level last start behind a heavy favorite. There are no standouts in this field to be worried about.

#4 Sanfilipo (4/1) – Dropping class, he moved into a hot pace going longer last time and ran a solid 4^th. The Conductor loves him against this group.

Race 2: 6 Furlongs. F.MC 50000

#1 Nikee Kan (9/2) – She’s taking a significant class drop after facing open maiden special weights last time out where she ran an ok 4^th with a troubled trip. She’ll run 2^nd at worst.

Race 3: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Clm 16000n3L

#7 Family Kitten (3/1) – She’s run well in her two turf efforts and her recent races on synthetic kill this group.

Race 4: 6 Furlongs. OC 75000n2x

#4 Country Singer (5/2) – Nothing creative here, he looks the best on paper.

Race 5: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Clm 30000n2L

*Never a Doubt Humpday Lock of the Day #5 Themanbehindtheman (7/2) – She’s dropping in class and is consistently running better numbers than this field. She looks like a stand out to the Conductor.

#9 Coquivacoa (6/1) – She loves Gulfstream Park and has run the highest figures in the field at today’s distance. With a much improved 3^rd vs this level last time, she looks like she’s rounding back into form.

Race 7: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.Clm 16000

#10 Miss Aja Brown (10/1) – She runs her best at this distance and has been facing tougher competition in New York.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. Clm 30000b

#10 Mr Joshua (3/1) – He’s been off since May, but off the bench for Gilberto Zerpa is no problem. His form last spring cannot be matched by this field.

Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.OC 35000n1x

#9 Kallio (8/1) – Pressing a hot pace against much tougher at Keeneland last start, she’ll appreciate the shorter distance. Her win two starts back was very impressive.

Race 10: 1 Mile. Clm 6250n2L

*Gullet Shot of the Day #14 Discreet Heat (10/1) – Going two sprints to a route in his 3^rd start off a layoff he is primed to run his best and has run the best figures sprinting in this field. If he can get the distance he’ll win the finale at Gulfstream Park.

*Gullet Shot of the Day #3 What the Chubb (10/1) – This boy ran 2^nd vs similar last start and is 1^st off the claim for trainer Juan Vazquez. He’s got good early speed and has beaten tougher this year.

#2 Banana Anna (3/1) – Looks good on paper and the Pennington/Ness jockey/trainer combo is tough to beat at Parx.

*Never a Doubt Stocking Stuffer Lock of the Day #8 Mutaraabit (8/5) – The two favorites have this field over a barrel. The Conductor will roll with him.

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. Clm 25000b

#3 Klington Warrior (12/1) – This colt has faced much tougher in his young career and has real early gas. He’s been off since July and is working well. If he can return to form after some rest, he’ll beat this group.

Race 6: 5 ½ Furlongs. Clm 7500n2L

#5 Rebel Vow (20/1) – #8 Fot (7/2) is the Conductor’s top pick, however this is the bomb the Conductor will key in the exotics. He has the fastest early pace figures in the field and is dropping in class. He’ll appreciate the shorter distance as well.

#6 Pinatubo (7/2) – He has good early speed and will appreciate cutting back to a sprint. He does his best running shorter.

*Atom Bomb of the Day #10 Pretty Cool Cat (30/1) – This ol’ mare is in good form and her figure two starts back on a fast track gives her every chance in here. Additionally, she’ll be flying late and the Conductor will key her in the exotics.

#8 Redneck Cowboy (4/1) – 2^nd vs similar last race, he loves the Parx surface and you already know the Conductor is a fan of the cutback.

Normally the Conductor keeps the train in the station on Mondays, but the weather at Gulfstream scratched most of his horses yesterday. Two days in a row without action? The Conductor will never allow it. Down to Parx we go, Let’s Ride.

*Never a Doubt Workweek Starter Lock of the Day #9 Secret Quality (7/2) – She’s been facing much tougher company in New York and has multiple races that would beat this group. Easy start.

#8 Brazen Prince (8/5) – He looks tough to beat at a short number.

Race 3: 1 Mile. F.Clm 40000n2L

*Gullet Shot of the Day #1 Shanghai Tootsie (10/1) – She’s gotten a sloppy track in her last two starts and will appreciate getting back to firm dirt today. Her races in California in August giver her every chance against this group and the Conductor loves the aggressive move 1^st off the claim for trainer Michael Pino.

Race 4: 6 Furlongs. F.Mdn 45k

#1 Risaalaat (9/5) – The Conductor is betting a Michael Pino ice cold double.

Race 5: 6 ½ Furlongs. S.Mdn 37k

#1 Vixsinfantastkfox (8/1) – This colt is steadily progressing, and he ran the best last race in the field on the Conductor’s numbers. We need the rail to be good today.

Race 6: 1m70yds. Clm 8000

#9 Worth His Salt (7/2) – His last start was better than it looks on paper, pressing a hot pace and finishing 5^th. He’ll be facing significantly weaker today and has past figures that would hammer this field.

Race 7: 6 Furlongs. Clm 10000

#4 Don’t Make it Easy (20/1) – He finished 4^th behind the most likely winner in here #6 He’s Cotton. He’s got early speed and has as good a chance as any if the favorite stubs his toe.

Race 8: 1 Mile. F.Clm 16000

#6 Gobi (3/1) – Just missing at this level last start, she’s consistently run the best figures in the field. The Conductor will drop the hammer if she goes off at 3/1.

Race 9: 1 Mile. Clm 7500n2L

#8 Vinnyvinvincent (10/1) – He’s dropping in class and this will be his first try routing. His even running style makes the Conductor believe he’ll love the added distance at Parx and the Conductor will key him in the trifecta.

The Conductor’s already antsy after keeping the train in the station for a day. Now we get to dive right into Parx for some Tuesday racing like a true sicko. The Conductor will continue down south tomorrow to Gulfstream, where he will be mainly stationed until Santa Anita opens back up the day after Christmas. Time to start the racing week off right. Let’s ride.

Race 1: 1 1/16 Mile. F. 50000n1y

#6 Revolving Storm (3/1) – Good works, good early speed, she’s the only one in this field capable of beating the odds on favorite #4 Chorite (1/1).

Race 2: 1 1/8 Mile. MC 10000

#5 Border Agent (6/1) – He was well bet in his last race at this level and barely ran. He is lightly raced and has shown to have some ability in his first few starts. That’s at least something to latch on to against these other proven losers.

Race 3: 6 Furlongs. F.MC 10000

*Never a Doubt Lunch Money Lock of the Day #9 Brandon’s Law (9/5) – In her first start at this level last time she ran a solid 2^nd with a troubled trip. Drawn well to the outside, she’s the class of the field and the one to beat.

#4 King Koa (7/2) – Pressing a hot pace and driving home for an easy victory last start, the Conductor was impressed. He continues to step forward with every race and the Conductor will back him today.

Race 5: 6 ½ Furlongs. OC 25000n2x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #3 Thomas Knight (6/1) – He loves the Parx surface, has won with multiple running styles and his last race was best on the Conductor’s numbers.

#5 Moon Chant (3/1) – She loves to run 2^nd, which is always a concern for the Conductor. However, she consistently runs figures that will beat this group.

Race 7: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 5000n1y

#1A One Sided (4/1) – He’s the only one in this field that can beat the odds on favorite #8 Charming Indy (4/5). His last race was better than the figure suggests, closing strongly into a very slow pace.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. F.Alw 46000n1x

#6 Captain Sam (6/1) – She has an early pace advantage over this field and is working well. The Conductor wants her sent right to the front and try to gut this field gate to wire.

Race 9: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 7500n2L

#12 Kion (8/1) – He has multiple past figures at Parx that would beat this group and he ran a decent 4^th vs tougher last start. The class drop is good enough for the Conductor.

#7 Love that Chick (5/1) – You won’t find a slower group of horses than this field. This filly is at least lightly raced and hasn’t tried routing yet. She has a solid last work and upside, while the rest of these are proven losers.

Race 2: 1m70yds. Clm 7500n1y

#4 Printer (4/1) – The sloppy track moved him up last time, but it was by far the fastest last performance in this field. He’s in good form and the Conductor will be very happy if he’s the third choice.

Race 3: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 25000n2L

#5 Love is Your Name (2/1) – This gelding loves to run 2^nd, but he’ll run for a tag for the first time and will be the second choice in the betting. He’s run much higher speed figures than #6 E J’s Revenge (7/5).

Race 4: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 25000n3L

*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Alpha Team (4/1) – The Conductor loves the cutback to a sprint today. His two best races were both sprinting, including a 2^nd at this level two starts back.

Race 5: 1m70yds. F.Clm 16000

#7 Mother Ginger (4/1) – She’s dropping in class and should step forward in her 2^nd start off the layoff. She’s beaten much tougher at Parx and is the class of the field.

Race 6: 1m70yds. S.Alw 41000n2x

*Never a Doubt Tuesday Lock #5 Devine Dental (5/2) – Setting a hot pace and blowing the doors off a Belmont field last time, he’ll be tough to beat in hear. It looks like he’ll get the early lead he needs to run his best.

Race 7: 6 Furlongs. Clm 10000

#9 Honorable Service (6/1) – His last race was by far the fastest in this field on the Conductor numbers. He should get a perfect stocking trip and will be flying rate.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. F.Alw 50000nc

*Double Gullet Shot of the Day #2 Assail (5/1) – The heavy favorite #4 Zipper’s Hero (7/5) will be tough to beat, but the Conductor likes this filly’s chances at a price. She hasn’t run out of the exacta on a fast dirt surface in her career and she hasn’t gotten one in her last 4 races. Her figures are competitive and she loves Parx as well.

#5 Special Risk (2/1) – The Conductor can’t find anything creative in here.

Tuesday’s Truly Degenerate Plays at Parx

The Conductor’s going for bombs today…..Let’s See if Parx can handle these prices.

2:13pm ET Race 5: 1m70yds. Clm 12500n4L

#3 Gotta Get Away (9/2) -This gelding ran on a fast dirt track for the first time in his 21-race career and ran a career best speed figure. It was also a higher figure than any of these others’ last race. He’ll get a fast dirt track at Parx again today and the Conductor will bet it’s exactly what he’s been looking for all along.

2:40pm ET Race 6: 6 Furlongs. Clm 7500n1y

#5 Yourdreamsormine (12/1) – Setting a brutally fast pace in his last start vs tougher, he understandably faded badly down the stretch. His early pace figures give him an early lead in this one and this group is much weaker. The lead will be dangerous and trainer Miguel Penaloza is hitting at a 23% clip with a gaudy +$3.14 ROI with runners 2^nd start off the claim this year.

#9 Red Dragon Tattoo (6/1) – He’s taking an even bigger class drop and has been forced to run on a sloppy track in his last four starts. He hasn’t gotten a fast track since April. He has multiple past performances that would beat this group on a fast track. The Conductor sees him returning to form today over his preferred surface.

#1 Shanghai Tootsie (10/1) – She broke her maiden in her first start routing last time. Although that figure came back low, her previous performances in California make her competitive in here. The rail post is winning at an 18% clip in routes this meet and the Haddock/Velasquez jockey/trainer combo has won 3 of their last 7 starts.

#3 Sugar Included (15/1) – She’s had some time out since her last start at Parx, which was very poor. However, she takes a big class drop today and her races at Churchill Downs make her competitive in here. Trainer Juan Serey is also 24% with a +$3.06 ROI with runners 2^nd start off the claim this year.

#2 Promised Storm (12/1) – Lightly raced, she has the most potential in this inconsistent group. She holds the fastest speed figure in this field with her maiden breaker three starts back. Her last two efforts have been ok, but have been over a good surface. She’ll get back to a fast track today, shortens a furlong and has a major chance at a big number.

*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Silver Silence (12/1) – The Conductor doesn’t like the favorites in here and this girl has multiple past performances that can beat this group. She went the bench after she had a few poor efforts, but her works are solid, and she looks like she’ll show her best today. She’s a Parx specialist.

Race 6: 7 Furlongs. Mdn 45k

*Never a Doubt Tuesday T-Bond Lock of the Day #5 MotownCharlybrown (2/1) – He’ll be a short price, but it’s a certainty that he’ll win for fun. He ran well against a colt named Conqueror in his debut, who has come back to have two dominant victories. Additionally, this is a weak field with the scratches and MotownCharlybrown will skip home with ease.

Race 7: 6 Furlongs. Str Alw. 12500

#9 Nigel’s Destiny (12/1) – He’s drawn well to the outside and the Conductor thinks the favorites are vulnerable in here. He’s faced tougher competition in New York most of his career and also has the back class and numbers to win if he shows up. His work tab suggests he will.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. F.OC 25000n2x

#8 Doctorsofmischief (8/1) – She’s in career form and her last start at this level was ultra-impressive. She pressed the pace the whole way around and was just nailed by a closer in the final strides. A repeat effort will put her right there at the wire.

Vital Breeders Cup Announcement And Monday’s Punts at Parx

The Conductor was buried underneath Breeders Cup PPs yesterday in preparation for the upcoming weekend. He will have full breakdowns of each race coming this week, so you passengers keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, the Conductor will still share a few winners with you to build up your bankroll for the best two days in racing. What a selfless man. It’s almost here, full fields, the best of the best facing off, the Conductor can feel the tension in his plumbs. Let’s start this week off right, off to Parx we go, Let’s ride.

*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Queen Fantabulous (8/1) – She made an early move into a scorching pace last start and faded late. She is one of the very few runners in here with past figures above par for this level and her early speed makes her very dangerous. With only one other speed horse in this group she should get a favorable trip on or near the lead.

Race 6: 1 Mile. Clm 12500n2L

*Never a Doubt Breeders Cup Bankroll Lock of the Day #1 Glass Bridge (4/1) – The #4 Industrial Logic (9/5) is the one to beat in here, however, this gelding is the only other contender with a chance. He’s had two poor efforts on a sloppy track and turf. He’ll get back to a fast dirt track today an His Parx dirt form is solid. He’s taking a big class drop and his work tab suggests he’s rounding into form. The Conductor loves him.

Race 7: 1m70yds. Alw 12500s

#8 We B Jammin (15/1) – With the scratches at Parx, he’ll be nowhere near 15/1, but he’ll still likely be the third choice in the betting. That’s pretty good for a hoarse coming off a 15-length victory. He’s a speedball that will go guns blazing to the front and hold on for dear life. Hold on big boy, one time.

Race 8: 1 Mile. F. Clm 16000

#4 Awesome Singer (20/1) – She has past performances above par at this level. That’s good enough for the Conductor at the price she’ll be. There aren’t any world beaters in here and she’ll be right there at the wire if she shows up.
