Rich Gift was only able to grab 3rd at Gulfstream Park yesterday. Hopefully a few passengers were able to cash that trifecta. The Ductor will be focusing on the only two turf races again today. Let’s Ride.

Gulfstream Park Race 5: 1 Mile. (Turf) Clm 35000n2L

*Gullet Shot of the Day #7 Dream of a Day (8/1) – This race is wide open and the Ductor sees it having a quick pace with the speeds drawing the rail and outside posts. Saez on the #1 My Sea Cottage (7/2) and Paco on the #11 Quantum Theory (8/1) will heat this race up. Whenever Dream of Day gets a setup, he is dangerous. He’s beaten tougher fields in New York and he’ll improve returning to turf. He’s moved into a lower percentage barn, but gets a capable turf rider in Zayas. 8/1 would be a dream.

Gulfstream Park

Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.MC 35000

#1 Gem Cat (8/1) – This filly showed speed sprinting on the synthetic last time and now stretches out to a route and tries turf. She’s switched barns since her last start. You can’t get a bigger trainer uplift from the Pita to Delgado barn at Gulfstream Park. Delgado puts blinkers on her and she has turf pedigree. The one time Jose Morelos has ridden for this barn in the last two months, he won on an 8/1 shot. History repeats itself today and the Ductor finds a gem in the winners circl.
