The rain thankfully missed Keeneland, so the Conductor is happy to see full fields and ample opportunities.  He’s planning on rolling into the weekend with deep pockets, so let’s build that bankroll. Let’s Ride

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. MC 50000

#9 Babeswildweekend (6/1) – Setting a scorching pace going a mile last start, the Conductor loves the cutback in distance.  He has the early speed to dictate good trip from the outside and the stamina to hold on after exiting a route.  Top jockey Shaun Bridgmohan hopping aboard is also a very positive sign.

Race 6: 7 Furlongs. F.Clm 20000n2L

#9 Jukebox Money (4/1) – The Conductor likes the #9 again and for similar reasons.  Routing on turf last time, she set a blistering pace before fading late.  She’ll appreciate the cutback in distance and there is not much other speed signed on in here.  She can scamper away from this field.

Race 7: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.Alw 69000n1x

#4 Angel of Mischief (9/2) – She’ll be stretching out for the first time, but she has shown a strong finish in her first two starts.  She’s taken money at the windows, backed it up both times and the Conductor loves seeing two sprints to a route.

*Bonus Gullet Slit #2 Haniel (20/1) – Steadily improving, this filly ran a game 3rd setting the pace going longer last time at Kentucky downs.  She’s shortening in distance today and these Kentucky Downs shippers have been running great on the turf at Keeneland so far this meet.  The Conductor can smell a big effort.

Keeneland

Race 8: 1 Mile. OC 75000n2L

*Never a Doubt Speedboat Lock of the Day #4 Pole Setter (7/2) – In his first start last time in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes, he ran by far the best dirt race in this field.  He was bumped at the start, made a strong middle move and flattened out late for 3rd.  He’s been working well, shortens in distance and he will win for fun.

Race 9: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Alw 69000n1x

#3 Art Collection (5/1) – The Conductor will play another Kentucky downs shipper on the grass here.  This colt has good early speed and pressed a hot pace to break his maiden last start.  Drawn well to the inside, he should get a perfect ground saving trip up close to the pace and the Conductor will bet KD made him fit enough to finish the job.

Race 10: 1 1/16 Mile. Clm 7500

#6 Long On Luck (5/1) – Dropping off a win, this gelding is in great form winning two of his last 3 at Keeneland.  He is lightly raced and ran a few giant numbers very early in his career.  He seems to be pointing to one of those big efforts in the Jason Barkley barn and there is nothing special in this field.
