Major technical difficulties caused the site to be dead this weekend.  As the scribe, I will take full responsibility. The Conductor obviously had countless winners all over the place, but I could not get them to the masses. That’s on me and it will not happen again.  The Conductor told me I would be canned for sure if it happens again, so my ass is in the jackpot. The train is headed down to Parx to start the week, Let’s Ride.

Race 1: 5 ½ Furlongs. Clm 12500n4L

#5 Warrior Lake (5/2) – Winner of his last two on different tracks, this boy will get the early lead and won’t look back.  Easy start to the day.

Race 2: 1 Mile F.Clm 12500n3L

#7 Savannah Roxanna (4/1) – This filly is dropping in class and has set scorching paces at Parx vs much tougher. She’ll appreciate this weaker group and will run her best in her third start off a layoff.

Race 3: 1 Mile. F. Alw 32000

#3 Viva Forever (4/5) – Gross heavy favorite.

Race 4: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 25000n2L

#5 Myakka River (7/2) – The Conductor doesn’t really have a clue in this race, but this is the one he ended up with on top.  Sometimes you just have to trust the Conductor’s left knee.

Race 5: 6 Furlongs. S.Mdn 37k

#1 Thiscatcanjump (6/1) – His dam has two winners from two starters and trainer Lake Scott can get them to win first time out. He’s bred to sprint and has some nice works over this Parx surface entering today.

Race 6: 6 Furlongs. Mdn 45k

#4 Gates of Dawn (4/1) – Another first-time starter, this boy has the top jockey/trainer combo with Pennington/Servais.  The Conductor likes his work pattern and doesn’t think much of the two morning line favorites.  He’ll look for fresh blood.

Race 7: 6 Furlongs. Clm 8000

*Gullet Shot of the Day #9 Cause for Surprise (10/1) – Closing into a slow pace vs tougher last start, the Conductor is licking his chops if he gets anywhere close to 10/1.  Trainer Jaime Ness is red hot winning 5 of his last 12 starts, this is a little lesson in Uncle Mo.

Race 8: 7 Furlongs. F.S. Alw 39000b

*Never a Doubt Free Lunch and Gas to Start the Week #2 Sweet Pig (5/1) – Pressing a hot pace going longer, this is a sneaky big drop in class now facing only PA-breds.  She’ll appreciate the cutback in distance and has enough early pace to get a good trip from the 2-hole. Good Piggy

Parx

Race 9: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 7500n3L

#11 Queen Fantabulous (15/1) – Drawn well to the outside, if you draw a line thru her last start, which was dismal, she has a good of a chance as any.  She has early gas and the Conductor thinks this race is wide open.  She’s worth a shot at a big number.
