Early races at Aqueduct taken off the turf, what a joke.  Whatever, Let’s Ride.

Race 1: Taken off turf – BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aqueduct

Race 2: 7 Furlongs. F.S.Mdn 62k

#5 Mrs Orb (9/5) – Drawn well to the outside, she has speed and has the most potential.  The Conductor doesn’t have a strong opinion in this race, but he’s agains the heavy favorite #2 Carrerra Cat.

Top Picks: 5-6-4

Race 3: 1 Mile. F.Clm 14000n3L

#5 Sierra Leona (6/1) – She’s running for the first time since April, but she has the fastest speed figures at this distance.  She has good early speed and gets a bug aboard, so the Conductor hopes she goes right to the front.  Trainer Michelle Nevin gets them ready to run off the bench.

Top Picks: 5-7-1

Race 4: 1 Mile. (Off Turf) Mdn 70k

#1 Duncastle (10/1) – The two times he has run on turf, he’s run huge.  In his last turf effort, he stumbled out of the gate, made a strong middle move into a hot pace to take the lead and faded late.  He finished only 1 3/4 lengths behind today’s morning line favorite #8 Kandinsky and we’ll get a much juicier price.

That was the Conductor’s analysis before it was taken off the turf. Screw it, we’ll ride with him.

Top Picks: 1-2B-3X

Race 5: 1 Mile. F.Alw 50000s

#2 Honey I’m Good (3/1) – She absolutely demolished the field in her debut and the only horse with a competitive speed figure in this group is the morning line favorite #3 South of France, who the Conductor is completely against.  Inside speed was golden all meet at Keeneland and her number is very inflated.  The Conductor can’t wait to take a stand.

Top Picks: 3-1-4

Race 6: 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) S.Alw 66000n1x

#9 Alien Season (7/2) – Drawn well to the outside, this gelding is lightly raced and has already won at three different tracks.  He’s posting bullet works entering today and his last race at Kentucky Downs was outstanding after breaking last.  KD shippers were dominating at Keeneland and the Conductor hopes these New Yorkers weren’t paying attention.

Top Picks: 9-1-4

Race 7: 1 Mile. Alw 50000s

#3 American Power (9/2) – 2nd off the claim for trainer Linda Rice at Aqueduct, he has the highest speed figures in this field. His last start at this level was better than it looks, with the winner coming back to win his next start.  American Power’s late pace figures tell the Conductor thinks he’ll appreciate the added distance as well.

Top Picks: 3-9-7

Race 8: 1 3/8 Mile (Turf) OC 62500n2x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #8 Nims (15/1) – Steadily improving and showing a great late kick on synthetic, this is a price horse the Conductor can latch on to.  If he can translate his form to the turf, he has as good a chance as any.

Top Picks: 8-3-9

Race 9: 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) S.MC 40000

*Never a Doubt Aqueduct Choke Slam Finisher Lock of the Day #1 Our Last Buck (3/1) – He’s working like a rocket and he ran huge in his debut setting a scorching pace and holding on for 3rd.  The Conductor likes the cutback in distance and he looks like a single to end the Card.
