This is the Conductor’s favorite card of the Keeneland meet thus far.  He is guaranteeing victory, Let’s Ride.

keeneland

Race 1: 1 1/16 Mile. MC 50000

#3 Yankton (3/1) – He drops out of a tougher race and should improve switching back to the dirt.  The one time he ran at this level, he was only beaten a length and his best figure.  This gelding should get a perfect trip today, up close or leading a slow pace.

Race 2: 6 Furlongs. Clm 20000b

#5 Awesome Fu (6/1) – Finishing 3rd at this level last start.  He’ll appreciate the cutback to a sprint and his win two starts back can beat this group. Trainer Wesley Hawley is 24% with a +$0.09 ROI this year with horses going route to sprint.

Race 3: 1 1/16 Mile. F. Clm 10000

#5 Kool Aid Girl (7/2) – She pressed a scorching pace off a year layoff last start and was only beaten two lengths.  She gets back to her preferred dirt surface today and trainer Tom Amoss is a sick 33% with horses 2nd off the claim this year.

Race 4: 7 Furlongs. F.Mdn 67k

#8 Gold Credit (8/1) – She’s posted three very fast works entering her debut today and Jersey Joe ships in to ride.  She was sold for 160k at auction and trainer Ignacio Correas can hit with prices in these spots.  He’s 13% with a +$0.96 ROI with first time starters this year.

Race 5: 6 ½ Furlongs. Mdn 67k

*Never a Doubt Mortgage Lock of the Day #1 Souper Wish (5/1) – 5/1 is an asinine morning line, but even if the Conductor gets 2/1 he’ll be ecstatic. He’s been off since May, but the early fractions and speed figs he ran in his first two starts were ultra-impressive.  His work tab looks very solid and inside speed has been great so far this meet at Keeneland.  Call your parents to take a loan out and put it on this boy because he’s going to win for fun.

Race 6: 5 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) F. Alw 71000n2x

#3 Factorofwon (5/1) – She ran some wicked early fractions last start vs tougher and was still only beaten two lengths.  If she runs a repeat effort of last time she will likely beat this group, let alone if she steps forward.

Race 7: 7 Furlongs. F. Mdn 67k

#7 Eres Tu (4/1) – The Conductor doesn’t like any of the runners with experience in her besides the #8 Patsy at 4/1, so he’ll use only two here.  Eres Tu is debuting for top connections and her damn has produced two stakes winners from 3 starters.  Her work tab shows she’s ready to run and the Conductor has that feeling in his knee that she’ll put on a show.

Race 8: 1 ½ Mile. (Turf) G3 Sycamore Stakes

*Bonus Gullet Slit #9 Zulu Alpha (10/1) – The Conductor sees the most likely winner in this one to be #5 Arklow (5/2), but he gives this gelding a major chance.  He’s found his form this summer and you don’t see many horses win the way he did in his last star.  He’s got loads of potential and could surprise at a nice number.

Race 9: 6 ½ Furlongs. Mdn 67k

#1 Chaps (9/2) – Well bet in his debut at Keeneland, something went wrong and he’s had some time off since. He’s been working like a freight train entering today and has the early speed to make him dangerous.

#4 Unmatchable (4/1) – 225k, top connections, electric work tab, he is the Conductor’s top pick.
