The Conductor was planning on playing Parx like usual on Tuesday, but he doesn’t like the card today and has decided to alter course. The train instead will be headed to Remington Park for the first time. Wherever the ponies run, the Conductor will find winners. Let’s get off to a good start this week. Let’s Ride.
Post Time 4:00pm ET Race 1: 7 Furlongs. F.MC 20000
#7 The Villa’s Start (4/1) – Drawn well to the outside, she ran a solid 2nd at this level last start and should improve with natural progression.
Race 2: 6 Furlongs. S.Clm 5000n1x
#5 Wanja Surprised (9/2) – He’s in good form and is technically stepping up in class after his win last start, but it’s for a lower claiming price. He can beat this group.
Race 3: 1m70yds. Clm 7500n3L
#5 Catchashootingstar (9/2) – Dropping class for top connections, he won two starts back vs similar competition. He has early speed and will be in a good position in a race without much pace.
Race 4: 1m70yds. S.Clm 5000
*Gullet Shot of the Day #7 Bigshot Lacewell (8/1) – He just missed at this level two starts back and last time out he made an early move into a hot pace,. With common rivals finishing ahead of him at Remington Park last start, his price should stay high and he’ll get a more favorable trip today in a race without much pace.
Race 5: 1 Mile. Clm 15000n3L
#9 Cash Kitten (8/1) – Switching from turf to dirt, he will like the surface switch and has good early speed. Shortening ½ furlong will also help his chances.
Race 6: 6 Furlongs. F.MC 7500
#4 Unusual Gold (7/2) – She’s plunging in class today and has never faced a group nearly this weak. The Conductor thinks the drop-in class will be enough for victory.
Race 7: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 25000n2L
*Tuesday’s Throat Throttling #1 Our Musical Moment (15/1) – She’s the Conductor’s best bet of the day and he’s praying to the pony gods that her price stays high. Setting a hot pace vs stakes company going a mile last time, she’ll love the cutback in distance today. Her win two back at Remington Park will makes her competitive and she’ll be better with added fitness.
Race 8: 5 ½ Furlongs. Alw 34000n1x
#10 Sendmethemoney (8/1) – Another cutback horse, he set a hot pace going a mile last time and is 2/2 in his career sprinting. The cutback will hit him right between eyes and his last race came back very live. The Conductor accepts Venmo.
Race 9: 6 Furlongs. F.MC 7500
#7 Feels Right (6/1) – There is not much to like in this group, so the Asmussen 1st time starter is aptly named for the Conductor. His right knee has that twinge.
