The Conductor started slowly out of the gate yesterday, but two 4/1 winners late made for an ok day.  We’re still in a hole from Monday, but nothing a trip down to Florida can’t fix. The Conductor is sharpening his axe for the Pegasus in two weeks.  Gulfstream will not survive. Let’s Ride.

PT 12:35pm ET Race 1: 5 Furlongs. (Turf) MC 25000

#6 Chuck’s Dream (6/1) – He’s been off since July, but was running solid figures vs much tougher at Churchill this year and is working well entering today.  He has good early speed as well.

Race 2: 5 ½ Furlongs. F.Clm 30000n2L

#1 R Kiss Em Goodbye (9/5) – Terrible betting race with only 4 horses, she looks best on paper.

Race 3: 1 Mile. (Turf) F.Clm 30000n3L

#1 Onebreathatatime (3/1) – She showed a strong late kick, closing into a slow pace vs stakes company last start.  She hasn’t faced this weak of a group in her career.

Race 4: 6 Furlongs. F.OC 75000n1x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #6 Wildwood’s Beauty (9/2) – She won impressively in her debut, breaking slowly and circling the field. Her recent workouts suggest she’s going to take a big step forward today.

Race 5: 1 Mile. (Turf) Clm 16000

#1 Mongo Nation (12/1) – He’s taking a big drop in class and Jose Ortiz stays aboard for a very small barn.  The Conductor will bet Jose knows this boy will run today.

Race 6: 1 Mile. Clm 6250n2L

#9 Debdurite (15/1) – Last time he ran at this level, he ran 2nd at 35/1.  He drops in class, has good early speed and this field is very slow.

Race 7: 1 1/16 Mile. OC 25000n1x

*Never a Doubt Braveheart Lock of the Day #5 The Scotsman (5/2) – He’s in good form at Gulfstream and consistently running significantly higher speed figures than this group.

Gulfstream Park

Race 8: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) F.MC 50000

#11 Starlight Ridge (8/1) – She just missed at this level in her debut, showing a thunderous late kick closing into a slow pace.  8/1 would be robbery.

Race 9: 1 Mile. F.OC 62500n2x

#3 She Takes Heart (6/1) – This mare set a blistering pace at this level last start and still held on for 3rd. She should be able to get an easier lead today at Gulfstream and will be very dangerous if she can ration her speed.

Race 10: 7 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) MC 20000

#7 Rumson Rally (9/2) – He didn’t run a step last start, but had a troubled trip and is plunging in class today.  He just missed against much tougher two starts back.
