The Conductor’s Lock of the Day got the job done at 7/2 yesterday and we don’t need to talk about the rest of the races, not important. The train has rolled into Gulfstream to pick up a nice lump of money mid-week and the Conductor has his eye on the prize. Let’s Ride.
Race 1: MC 12500
*Never a Doubt Start the Day Odd With a Winner Lock #7 Alpha Orionis (5/2) – He ran against much tougher in his debut and was well bet at the windows. This field is full of proven losers and he doesn’t have to do much to win.
Race 2: 1 Mile. MC 50000
#1 Impunity (7/2) – Returning to dirt and the claiming ranks the Conductor is ignoring his last race. He showed ability in his debut effort and that is what the Conductor is expecting today.
Race 3: 1 Mile (Turf) F.Clm 16000n1x
#4 Laur Net (12/1) – This Ol’ mare finally drops to a level where her figures are competitive. She’s been racing against miles tougher recently.
Race 4: 6 Furlongs. MC 35000
#5 Glory to Florida (7/2) – His workouts leading into today are eye catching. Jose Ortiz hops aboard this debut claimer, which is also a great sign.
Race 5: 1 Mile (Turf) MC 20000
#4 Bolt Paynter (9/2) – He showed a strong late kick after a troubled trip in his first race on turf last start. With more experience, he can beat this group.
Race 6: 1 Mile. F.Clm 62500n2L
#4 Peggity (5/2) – Her 2nd at this level at Gulfstream last time would beat the field she’s facing today.
Race 7: 1 Mile (Turf) Mdn 50k
#1 Tintorretto (8/1) – Drawn way outside in his first two starts, he’ll finally get a ground saving trip today. He’s shown solid late pace figures in his two efforts.
Race 8: 1 Mile. F.Clm 6250n3L
#1 Special Councel (3/1) – She’s lightly raced at Gulfstream and steadily progressing with good early speed. The Conductor is looking for this filly to win her 2nd in a row gate to wire.
Race 9: 5 Furlongs (Turf) F.OC 62500n2x
*Gullet Shot of the Day #3 Dominance (6/1) – This filly set the pace, dueling in a stakes race last start. Her early gas makes her very dangerous at this level and distance.
Race 10: 5 Furlongs (Turf) F.MC 25000
#5 My Sweet Paynter (12/1) – This girl ran a much-improved last race, making an early move into a hot pace. She’ll appreciate the shorter distance and the Conductor will key her in the trifecta.
