The Conductor had a 4/1 winner in race 2 yesterday, then it went downhill. Back to his home track, the Conductor is very happy Santa Anita is running. Gulfstream is playing tricks on him. Has he ever lost on throat shot Thursday? Never a chance. Let’s Ride.
Race 1: 1 Mile (Turf) Clm 40000n2L
#2 Falcone (5/1) – This colt has run some very strong late pace figures, and this is a very weak group. He can step up in class and beat this field.
Race 2: 1 Mile. Clm 16000n3L
#5 Elwood J (6/1) – The Conductor is going to keep chasing him.
Race 3: 6 ½ Furlongs. Mdn 55k
#2 Dimkar Fr (6/1) – Euros seem to like the downhill turf course and we get Prat in the irons.
Race 4: 6 Furlongs. OC 62500n2x
#4 The Hardest Way (4/1) – This is one of the better OC races you’ll see on a Thursday. All the runners have a chance, this man is working well and should get a perfect stalking trip in a race with lots of pace.
Race 5: 6 ½ Furlongs. F.MC 30000
*Never a Doubt New Watch Lock of the Day #8 Tick Tock (3/1) – She ran a decent 3rd in her debut vs tougher. The Heriberto/Morey jockey/trainer combo has been lethal lately.
Race 6: 1 ¼ Mile. (Turf) OC 62500n2x
*Gullet Shot of the Day #4 Risky Proposition (6/1) – Dropping out of G1 company, where he didn’t embarrass himself. He’s steadily progressing, and the Conductor is praying for that price.
Race 7: 1 Mile. OC 80000n1x
#5 Big Scott Daddy (7/2) – He debuted in a loaded maiden race at Santa Anita and won with ease. Mike Smith chose to ride him instead of the Baffert runners, he’s got talent.
Race 8: 6 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) S.Mdn 55k
#7 Preaching Trainer (4/1) – A low % debut trainer should keep this boy’s price high. He’s bred for for the grass and working like he’s going to blitz this field.
