The passengers are bleeding Conductor, we can’t afford another losing day!  As his scribe and loyal captain I will stay with him until the end, but Christ we really need something positive heading into the weekend.  Rest assured the Conductor was reading the form and watching the tape until his eyes bled last night.  The pony game is a fickle beast, and it is not playing nicely right now.  A sacrifice to the pony gods this morning is in order, the tide will turn at Gulfstream! Let’s Ride.

Gulfstream Park

PT 12:35pm ET Race 1: 6 Furlongs. F.S. OC 12500

#4 Body High (2/1) – The Conductor will use a shorty, Navaro trainee, to see the ball go in the hoop to start the day.  Then he pounces.

Race 2: 6 Furlongs. Clm 12500b

#1 Trio of Champions (8/1) – He hasn’t been respected at the windows because of his low % connections, but he’s got the best early pace figures in the group and the rail is winning at a 30% clip so far this meet.

Race 3: 5 Furlongs. (Turf) OC 625000n2x

#6 Seize (6/1) – His last race was a blowout win in June.  1st off the claim for Servais at Gulfstream with Irad in the irons means he’ll win again.

Race 4: 1 Mile MC 25000

#3 Primary Surplus (6/1) – Running three races at Woodbine, he’s been facing tougher and is an unknown on dirt.  He is lightly raced and has upside unlike the rest of this group.

Race 5: 7 Furlongs. F.MC 16000

#8 Boss Babe (6/1) – She pressed a hot pace going long on the turf last start.  She should like the cutback in distance and be ready to run her best in her 3rd start off the layoff.

Race 6: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 125000

*Never a Doubt Bottle Service Lock of the Day #6 Yakut (5/1) – Dropping class, she ran the best race in this field last start pressing a hot pace and finishing 2nd.  She shortens a furlong, has hot connections, and the Conductor will bet her with both fists.

Gulfstream Park

Race 7: 7 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) F.OClm 35000

#10 Miss Martu (6/1) – She ran a huge 3rd last time in a stakes race at 52/1.  That performance looks legit on paper, she didn’t have much help closing into a moderate pace.  The Conductor thinks she can back up that effort.

Race 8: 5 Furlongs. (Turf) MC 25000

*Gullet Shot of the Day #12 Macho Blue (12/1) – Well bet in his debut on dirt, he showed good early speed and the first 3 finishers all came back to win.  He’s been off a long time, but he’s working like a freight train and is bred to like the turf.

Gulfstream Park

Race 9: 1 Mile. Clm 6250n3L

#3 French Account (8/1) – Steadily improving at Gulfstream, winner of his last two and his best race was at this distance.  He’ll be very dangerous in his 2nd start off the layoff.

Race 10: 5 Furlongs. (Turf) MC 25000

#10 Barbie’s King (5/1) – Showing speed vs tougher on dirt last time, he shortens in distance and has a chance to step forward on the grass.
