The Conductor was out watching the NFL playoffs yesterday and didn’t get to see the races run. He awoke from his slumber on his friend’s couch this morning after too many stews last night and his bank account told him his picks stunk yesterday. *Never a Doubt Day and Week Starter Lock #2 Clever Sarah (9/5) – To say she’s been running against much tougher would be an understatement. Classic drop and pop.
Race 2: 6 ½ Furlongs. Clm 16000n2L
#5 Shanhai Tootsie (3/1) – She was running in Southern California earlier this year and has shown some ability and progression. She’s also facing much weaker competition today.
Race 3: 6 Furlongs. Clm 25000n1x
#4 Vegas Tycoon (3/1) – He won comfortably to break his maiden last start. The Conductor likes that he’s getting better with each race.
Race 4: 6 Furlongs. F.Clm 5000n1x
*Gullet Shot of the Day #2 Nothin But Trouble (8/1) – She improved significantly last start and the Conductor believes that signaled a change in form. She has multiple past performances that would crush this group.
Race 5: 5 ½ Furlongs. Clm 25000n3L
#2 South Sea (10/1) – This field has been running similar figures, but this gelding has been doing it against much tougher. 10/1 would be a treat.
Race 6: 1 Mile. F.Clm 16000n1x
#7 Clare’s Dowry (2/1) – She’s cycling upwards and consistently runs better figures than this field. Nothing creative.
Race 7: 6 Furlongs. Clm 8000n1x
#8 Don’t Make it Easy (12/1) – He’ll show up and run his race, while the rest of these runners are sporadic. Please make it easy for the Conductor
Race 8: 1 Mile. Clm 25000n2L
#10 Hidden Bamboo (3/1) – He showed subtle improvement last start and looks to be cycling up to a top effort today. His best beats this group.
Race 9: 5 ½ Furlongs. F.Alw 12500n1x
#1A Axe Capital (12/1) – She took a step forward last race and has some of the best figures in the field in her back pocket. The Conductor will bet she’ll run back to them here.
Race 10: 6 ½ F. F.Clm 12500n2L
#3 Evil Women (12/1) – Shipping in from Woodbine, she’ll try dirt for the first time. If she can transfer her figures from the poly track to Parx she’ll be very competitive.
