Best bet of the day came home at 9/2 yesterday, which made for a positive Saratoga Sunday. New week ahead, time to get into capping lab and prepare for glory. Let’s Ride.

Race 1: Hurdle Race

Race 2: 7 Furlongs. S.Mdn

#1 Freaky Styley (8/1) – Trainer Jorge Abreu is hitting at a 28% clip with a +$1.80 ROI this year with debut runners at this level.  This colt is working well, gets Rosario in the irons, and his sire is winning at a 16% rate with 1st timers.

Race 3: 1 1/16 Mile. (Inner Turf) F.S.Mdn 78k

#2 Jen’s Battle (4/1) – Well bet in her debut for a low % barn, she stretches out to a route and moves to the grass for the first time. Her breeding suggests she’ll improve on the lawn.

#5 Mazal Eighteen (10/1) – Well-bred for the grass and 220k at auction, the Carmouche/Gargan jockey/trainer combo have been red hot to start the Saratoga meet.

Race 4: 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) OC 80000n3x

*Never a Doubt Chad Brown Lock of the Day #2 Annals of Time (4/5) – She’s a standout in this group.

Race 5: 7 Furlongs. Clm 35000n3L

#1 Surface Strike (9/2) – He won nicely from the rail last start and a repeat effort gives him every chance.

Race 6: 5 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) Mdn 90k

#10 Chimney Rock (6/1) – This colt showed good early speed in his debut in a race taken off the turf. He’ll step forward on the grass.

Race 7: 1 Mile. (Inner Turf) S. New York Stallion Stakes 150k

#5 Blindwillie McTell (4/1) – If he stays at or above that price, he’s a play for the Conductor. His figures on dirt tower over this field and trainer Linda Rice is very adept at switching horses over to turf.

Race 8: 6 Furlongs. G2 Honorable Miss H.

#4 Mia Mischeif (7/5) – This filly has become legit this year.

Race 9: 5 ½ Furlongs. (Turf) F.OC 62500b

#2 Victorias Fire (15/1) – This old mare is unproven on a firm turf course, but she loves to win and is extremely quick early. The Conductor thinks she’s dangerous at a big number.

Race 10: 7 Furlongs. F.Alw 92000n1x

*Gullet Shot of the Day #10 Private Beach (10/1) – Cutting back to a sprint after setting a scorching pace last time vs Dunbar Roade, the Conductor loves her.

#3 Risky Mandate (7/2) – Her blowout win in her debut was ultra-impressive.
